New Teacher At Sendai Language School

仙台ランゲージスクールに新しいインストラクターが来ました!
以下本人からの挨拶文です。

Hello! My name is Miranda Fairbrook and I am very happy to be the new English teacher at Sendai Language School. I am from Seattle, Washington, USA where I taught elementary school for several years. Being from Seattle, I am a big baseball fan. I love the Mariners - especially Ichiro! I also love to read, run, watch movies and play softball. I have always been very interested in Japanese culture and I decided that I would like to take a break from life in Seattle and have an adventure living and teaching in Japan.

I have been in Sendai for about 8 weeks now and I think it is a very wonderful city. I love that it has the benefits of a big city - with many restaurants, festivals and activities - but it also has the benefits of nature. This reminds me of Seattle and makes me feel at home. I have enjoyed taking runs along the Hirose River, as well as shopping and sightseeing. The decorations for the Tanabata Festival were amazing! Trying new types of food is always exciting too. My favorite so far is Japanese curry rice ... YUM!

My life in Japan has gotten off to a wonderful start. I love teaching, meeting new people and exploring this exciting new place. I am looking forward to having many wonderful experiences in Japan.
